The Scorchers played host to three thoroughly enjoyable team fixtures against Burton Leonard last Saturday.
A strong Scotton U7's side secured a convincing win over the recently formed Burton Leonard team. A 6- 0 half time score translated into 8-1 at the full time whistle. Goal scorers were Jake Hargrave (2), Ben Lockwood (2), Dominic Tear (2), Oliver Hunter and Jamie Foster. In the following friendly game Scotton retained the winning pattern securing a 5-0 victory.
Scotton's U9's side continued their impressive form with a 7-0 league win over Burton Leonard; goals scorers included Harry Fewkes (4) and 2 for Harry Wells. In the following friendly game Scotton ran out resounding winners with a 12 - 0 victory. Key amongst the marksmen with a double hatrick was Owen Jackson.
Our U11s continued the club's success, with some stylish and dominant passing football. Goals from Joel Ainsley, Elliott Plews, Toby York and (as ever) Adam Tait sealed a 5 - 1 league win. The return match was a much closer and hard fought affair but Scotton U11s showed that they are the side to beat stealing a 2 - 1 win.
To continue and build on the impressive growth and success at SCOTTON SCORCHERS the club is now inviting new players in all of it's teams. With a new ground at Penny fields due to form part of the expanding set up, the Club with its 10 FA qualified coaches would like to hear from new budding players.
