The girls were in action again this weekend, this time taking on Knaresborough Celtic they played 5 matches.
Game 1 The U9's started brightly and dominated the game, Josie seeing plenty of the ball and creating several chances. Scorchers won 2 nil with goals from Daisy and Mollie.
Game 2 The U11's took a grip on this game giving Celtic little chance to settle, Philipa looked comfortable in goal and dealt well with isolated attacks. Emily and Melissa worked well in defence, Melissa playing her best game to date. Hayley took her chances well and put three of them away, Kayleigh also scoring and creating several good chances. Final score 4 nil to the scorchers.
Game 3 The U9's took the game to Celtic from the off with the dependable duo of Georgie and Georgia hitting 2 each. Kirstie also hit one from midfield. Final score Scorchers winning 5 nil.
Game 4 Celtic dominated this U11's game, playing their stronger players. Final Score Celtic winning 3 nil.
Game 5 The final game was a mixed age game with Scorchers having numerous chancers but unable to beat the Celtic keeper. Final score nil nil.
