Scorchers girls finished their season with matches against Killinghall Nomads who brought over mixed teams of development and league players.
U9 The girls got off to a flying start winning their first game 4. 1 with goals from Georgia (2) Georgie and Daisy. The girls never looked in trouble but the match was certainly a test for the girls. In their second game the match was a close affair with both teams having chances to win the game, however Scorchers did enough and a goal from Mollie S proved decisive.
U11 Girls first match saw them up against it with Nomads fielding four league players, they worked really hard and were unlucky with a long range shot beating Philipa and a defensive mistake giving Nomads a 2. 0 win.
The second game was much closer with the scores remaining equal until the last kick of the game when another long range shot pinched the game for the Nomads. Another great match day. Dont forget coaching at 11.am at the village hall pitches on the 6th May.
