Last Saturday saw the U11's Boys play the last match of the season away at Knresborough Celtic, and they finished with what were possibly their best performances this season.
With all the posession in the first half, the Scorchers went behind to a shock goal on the break. However, this was the last time they looked in trouble, with a swift response to draw level, and then gradually turning on the pressure with some great flowing attacks. Goals, including those Adam, Elliot and a well deserved strike from a 'back on form' Matt saw the Scorchers ease to a 5-1 victory.
In the friendly, again the Scorchers found themselves a goal behind, but as previously, they kept calm heads to turn their numerous chances into goals, eventually ending up 3-1 winners.
The Coaches were incredibly pleased with the progress all members of the squad have made this season, with some of our year 6 players, we are sure, going on to become stars next year at Nidd Utd.
