U12's

Killinghall Nomads 8 v Scotton Scorchers 0

Scorchers were in action midweek playing against the Nomads. The Nomads fielding a number of last seasons U10 league winning side dominated a large part of the game creating numerous chances. Resolute defending by Imogen and Emily kept the score line down below what could have been double figures and great goalkeeping from Philippa and Olivia pulling off a string of saves kept the Scorchers going. Player of the match Caitlin had an outstanding game in midfield, covering every blade of grass, Melissa and Abbie came on as subs further improving their game and for a short spell with Rebecca joining the attack Scorchers pinned the Nomads back creating a succession of chances but unable to find the back of the net.

U12's

Scorchers 0 v Pannal Sports 6

Last years league runners up Pannal Sports arrived at Scotton with an attacking line up playing one defender, four across the middle and one up front. Scorchers were slow to start and were outplayed for most of the first half despite working extremely hard. A half time reshuffle saw Scorchers get back in to the game with an excellent second half performance. Emily being chosen as player of the match for her outstanding work rate and great defending. In the first half the Scorchers conceded 5 but in the second were unlucky to concede just 1 at the very end. The team showed real commitment and improvement and the girls can all be proud of the progress they are making.

U10's

Scorchers 9 v Knaresborough Celtic 0

The U10's played their first ever Harrogate and District League game against local friendly rivals Knaresborough Celtic. The Scorchers dominated the game showing some real flare and passing skills. With the now famous double G strike force of Georgia ad Georgie up front and the flamboyant midfield of Kirstie and Daisy the Celts were outplayed, when they did venture forward Ellie and Rebecca were calm in defence with Jayde untroubled in goal for much of the game. The goals came from Kirstie 2 Daisy 4 Goergie 1 and Georgia 2. An excellent start!!!
