Girls U12's - Champions Provide Early Challenge

The U12 girls were the first Scorchers team in action this season. Playing Scotton Scorchers first ever Harrogate and District League match. The visitors and last years U12 champions Ilkley provided an early test for the girls. In an evenly contested game there were chances at both ends but on this occasion Ilkley showed their experience in front of goal to win the game three goals to nil. However Scorchers can be proud of their performance, hitting the post on two occasions and testing their keeper several times. The attitude and work rate of all the girls was first class with Kayleigh being awarded player of the match for her attacking play and goal scoring opportunities. Thanks to Ilkley for a great game and to the referee for an excellent performance.
