Win, lose and draw in the latest Boys league Matches vs Hampsthwaite

SCOTTON SCORCHERS and Hampsthwaite resumed their league fixtures programme on Saturday 13th January at Scotton, with encounters for all squads continuing in the tradition of tight and hard-fought affairs between these two teams.

SCORCHERS U11s played some outstanding pass-and-move football that ensured the game flowed from the opening whistle, with chances at both ends throughout. Great goalkeeping from both teams ensured the game was goalless well into the second half. With only minutes left, an unstoppable shot from 'super-sub' Sam Bull secured a well earned 1-0 win for SCOTTON.

SCOTTON'S U9s were looking to continue their 100% record, and nearly suceeded when great individual skills from Josh Osbourne saw him create a number of chances. However, the Hampsthwaite defense was solid, and as the game progressed they came more into it as an attacking force. A draw was always going to be the outcome, with the final score 0-0.

The U7's were looking to start the second half of the season as the finished the first half, and got off to a great start with a goal from Jamie Foster. After half time however, a very well organised Hampsthwaite team put SCOTTON under some consistent pressure and pulled level. Great goalkeeping from Jake Bradshaw kept the scores level until 5 minutes from time, when Hampsthwaite swept forward to score the winner and claim a deserved 1-2 victory. SCOTTON got their revenge with the following friendly, reversing the scoreline and winning 2-1.
