It's been quite a year for the
Scorchers, County Development Club, then Regional County Development Club and
to top it off former chairman Mike Baker received the CBE.
Mike was recognised for his work with Government and also included in his recomendation were details of his commitment to Scotton Scorchers and Nidd United.
Former chairman of Scotton Scorchers Mike has lead on much of the clubs
progress over the last 9 years with great direction, insight, diplomacy and
inspiration helping take the clubs 20 children on an uneven playing field to
todays regional FA Football Development Club of the year with over 120 players,
dedicated pitches and changing rooms.
