Local radio station, Stray FM have recently recognised the dedication of one of our coaches.
Hosting their annual Local Hero Awards in Harrogate, Mike Collier, coach and committee member was shortlisted for a Local Heroes Award `Volunteer of the Year.
Whilst Mike didnt win the prestigious award he received a certificate from Stray FM and a phone call to thank him for his hard work with Scotton Scorchers.
Mike said 'I was really surprised to get a call from Stray FM and feel honoured to receive this recognition and to be mentioned alongside some of the local herores who have put in many more years than me is really appreciated`.
Whilst really pleased Mike went on to thank all the people connected to the club who had helped give the Scorchers a first class reputation and to those that nominated him.
