Running alongside this at Percy Field the coaches and assistants and other club helpers were undergoing some club education where the club held in house training which hopefully brought everybody together and reiterated the clubs ethos and desire to keep this club 'child orientated' and not adult or coach orientated!
This comprised of a talk on the merits of coaches gaining further FA education and our coach development officer further explained the clubs very own DNA which we have been working on. Again this is all about keeping training and matches child orientated and allowing as much 'on the ball' time as possible.
Also in view of recent events this was a very apt time to reinforce why as a club we have always taken child safegaurding very serious and the importance of why we must make sure all our coaches/assistants etc are all CRC checked.
Our Child Welfare Officer had written a fantastic piece of literature explaining how well we have done in the past but expressed the importance of not resting on our laurels and again reinforcing the message of why these checks are so important.
All in all it was a brilliant mornings education which hopefully brought the club even closer together and made sure we keep this amazing club going in the right direction.
A big thankyou to everyone who attended and also to those that made this morning happen, hope everybody enjoyed it and now are more enlightened to how things work at this club.
