On a sunny first Saturday in the league, all our boys teams put on great performances and Scotton Scorchers were unlucky not to come away with a hat-trick of wins from these first home league games against Hampsthwaite.
The U7's and U11's won 2-0 and 1-0 repectively, and after a brilliant match and some quality football, our U9's were narrowly beaten 3-4. In the friendlies that followed, the teams knocked in more goals, with the 7's and 11's again victorious and the 9's gaining a well deserved draw.
Support from both sets of fans was very enthusiastic, so thanks to all that came along to cheer. Next league matches for the boys are on the 15th October, which will now be played at home, but after Saturdays games the Scorchers know they have got nothing to fear from Tockwith.
