Scorchers Girls Enjoy Goal Feast!!!
The Scorchers girls enjoyed a full morning of football playing local friendly rivals Knaresborough Celtic. Playing 8 mini matches all the girls got some more match practice and demonstrated just how well they are all coming along. The U9's played 2 matches getting everyone involved. Scotton winning the first 5.0 with goals from Georgi (3) Rebecca Stockman and Georgia. The second game finished 3.0 with a goal from Molly and 2 from Daisy. Meanwhile on the 2nd pitch the U11's battled to a fine 2. 1 win with goals from Olivia and Rebecca Collier. The second game ended in a 2.0 win with both goals coming from Kayleigh. There was then a short break whilst the teams were reorganised to allow Scotton to have a chance to play Celtics U10 league team against our U10 players (one objective of the day was to see how we are progressing against league opposition). The first match resulted in a 2.0 win with Georgia hitting them both and the second ending in a close 1.1 draw Georgi netting for scorchers. The remaining girls played two further matches resulting in two comfortable wins. The first finishing 2.0 with a fantastic individual goal from Kirsti and an unlucky own goal. The second game ended 8.1 with goals from Kayleigh (5 i think!!!) Hayley 2 and Kirsti 1. In summary Scorchers won 7 and drew 1. The matches were all played fairly and were refereed well. A big thankyou goes to all the mums who provided bacon sandwiches and drinks etc and thanks to Knaresborough Celtic for supplying a referee and a set of goals. (Editors note: This message will be updated after next Saturdays training session when i can confirm who scored where when and how, apologies to anyone i have missed out). (Well Jose Mourinho doesnt have to write up the match reports for his own match let alone 4 others!!!!!) Well done everyone an excellent day!!!!
