With 2 brand new players and no substitutes in boiling hot conditions the girls played like Barcelona even on such tight tournament pitches.
All the girls were confident with the ball at feet and passed the ball around really well and were head and shoulders the best footballing team at the tournament.
Parents and supporters all around marvelled at their glorious entertaining style of football, they really were a joy to watch with their own brand of football.
All the girls made plenty of correct decisions of when to dribble and when to pass and all the teams they came up against were completely bamboozled.
Alas no trophy at the end of the day but they had something better than that, they had SMILES and camaraderie, memories and PROUD parents.
A huge thankyou to our friends at Scarborough Girls JFC for the use of their gazebo for much needed shade, it was really lovely to catch up with them.
Thankyou to CYGFL for organising another great succesful tournament and THANKYOU to our parents for conducting yourselves in the correct manner and setting a fine example to all other soccer parents out there. We will improve behaviours in junior football by continually setting good examples.
