Girls U12 - Panthers Pounce!!!

The Scorchers girls faced tough opposition in this Harrogate and District League fixture. An excellent first half saw Scorchers play some of their best football of the season, giving Ripon City Panthers a real game. Hayley and Emily determined in defence with Philippa in goal pulling off some good saves. Kayleigh created a number of chances and lively debutant Shannon proving a real threat up front being unlucky not to score when one on one with the keeper. Melissa worked hard in midfield stifling the Panthers players and Olivia covered the whole pitch showing some real vision when breaking down the Panthers attacks. The second half saw Scorchers make a number of changes and they then struggled to get going again in spite of hard work from everyone including Caitlin, Rebecca, Abbie and Imogen. A late shot by Kayleigh had the keeper beaten but just went wide. The Player of the match went to Olivia.
