Great style and mixed fortunes for Scotton U7s, U9s and U11s in last weekends matches

SCOTTON SCORCHERS JFC continued the season in style with all Boys squads in action last Saturday, October 14th.

The U11’s hosted local rivals Knaresborough Celtic, who took an early 1 goal lead. SCOTTON stayed in touch with excellent goalkeeping from Tom Brennan, and equalized just before half time. SCOTTON took a hold in the second half, with Elliot Plews on hand with the assists and Harry Fewkes completing his hat-trick in the final 3-1 score line.

SCORCHERS U9s and U7s both traveled to Tockwith, were the U9’s played some blistering football to complete a 0-6 away win, with hat-tricks for both Josh and Jackson. The U9s also repeated the scoreline in the following friendly.

The U7s, with some great pressure and attacking play from Alex and Jamie up front, took an early lead, but couldn’t retain the advantage. Even with an outstanding show of goalkeeping from Sam Gibbon, SCOTTON couldn’t stop their opponents getting on level terms, before Tockwith finally edged the match 2-1. The following friendly again had the same score, despite some great work at the back from Andrew Pugh and in goal from Jake Bradshaw.
