Saturday 27th January saw The Scorchers Boys Squads take the short trip to Ripley for the next in our Nidderdale League Fixtures.
SCOTTON SCORCHERS U11s top of the league position was never in doubt with a convincing 6 - 0 victory over RIPLEY. Scotton continued their impressive run with a mature and well balanced performance. In the goals were Harry Fewkes, Sam Bull and 4 from Man of the Match Harry Wells
SCOTTON U9s were disappointed to loose 4-1 at RIPLEY. After a couple of weeks not training due to bad weather, it took them the first half to get into gear, by which time they were 4-0 down. An awesome display by the team in the second half saw a goal from Jake Hargrave plus a number of close misses saw the game finish up being a very entertaining match enjoyed by all spectators.
SCOTTON SCORCHERS U7 also continued their league matches at RIPLEY. After falling behind early on from a quick Ripley break, the second half saw Seb Corbett come on and make a big impact, scoring himself and supplying passes for Scotton’s other goals, including two from Alex Shaw, as the Schorchers ran out 4-1 victors at the final whistle.
This coming Saturday, February 3, see's the U7 & U9 squads take on Tockwith at home, and the U11's renew rivalries with Knresborough Celtic away. More details on the Fuxture list.
