Scorchers Boys Results - Saturday 3 Feb

Nidderdale League fixtures continue thick and fast for the SCOTTON SCORCHERS when this week the U7's and U9's took on Tockwith at home.

SCOTTON'S U7's played in a thrilling game, with both teams evenly matched throughout. Tockwith took the lead twice, but each time SCOTTON pulled level. Then, as half time approached, SCOTTON took advantage of the big goal clearances of Sam Gibbon to go in at half time 4-2 infront, with Jamie Foster grabbing a hat trick. In the second half, Tockwith came out full of running and pulled one back. However, some great defensive work from Lorcan Gallagher saw SCOTTON narrowly hold on at the end, winning the game 4-3. The following U7 friendly was also a tight affair, with Tockwith eventually running out 2-0 victors.

SCOTTON SCORCHERS U9's were back to winning ways with a strong performance against Tockwith. A comprehensive 3 - 0 victory was gained from a solid team performance, with 2 goals from Josh Osbourne and 1 goal from Harry Newsome. In the 2nd and 3rd games Scotton again produced performances full of effort to achieve 1 - 1 and 0 - 0 draws respectively, the goal coming from Giovanni Passarello.

SCOTTON's U11's renewed their rivalry with Knaresborough Celtic, this time playing away. Celtic put out a strong team for this fixturem, and the match was tight for long periods. However, Knaresboroughs deoth of squad showed in the end, with them eventually beating Scotton 3-1.
