Girls U12 - Panthers Pounce!!!

The scorchers girls continue to improve as the season progresses with return fixtures results being better in the second half of the season in every game except one. The first half saw a close encounter with chances at both ends, the best Scorcher chance falling to in form Abbie who saw her shot go narrowly wide with the keeper beaten. The Panthers with two new signings this season had a powerful attack and caused real problems for Rebecca and Emily who played well against the much taller girls. Kayleigh in goal was kept busy and on one occasion with the defence beaten raced from her goal dribbling the ball to safety by the corner flag!! Shannon again worked really hard and caused problems for the Panthers defenders but couldnt quite find a way through. In the second half Emily went in goal and Philippa came on in defence working hard to pick up the runs being made from midfield. Emily and Hayley tackled well and managed to get the ball forward in to attacking positions giving Abbie and Kayleigh opportunities to break forward. The game ended in defeat for the Scorchers but with another improved scoreline progress continues!
