£100.00 RAISED TOWARDS OUR ‘’NEW PITCH PROJECT’’

A big thank you to everyone who took part in Scotton Scorchers Penalty shootout on Saturday 20th September.
Simon Lockwood, Keith Large and our fantastic goalkeeper William Wood who all represented Scotton Scorchers at the Scotton Feast took nearly £100.00 for the Clubs ‘’New Pitch Project’’. Every penalty saved by William Wood and Simon Lockwood was another 20p gained for the club. You can work out how busy we were on the day as theoretically 500 penalties were taken against us.
Every prize was won on the day ranging from goalkeeper gloves, shin pads; premiership logo’d club footballs, and full size leather match balls. Under 6’s through to adults all took prizes.
The donkey in the opposite field however was kept on his guard when adults were at the penalty spot to take their kick. We had to retrieve wayward footballs on numerous occasions over in the next field from near the donkey’s stable. These shots had been fired over by over enthusiastic dads. It didn’t help matters however when all the children watching their dads take penalties started shouting “Donkey Donkey.” This then preceded to happen every time a unsuspecting dad approached the penalty spot. Oh and Dads next time you come to take penalties it might be an idea to wear the appropriate footwear….. The Wellie Wanging stall was next door. Haa haa..
Thanks to everyone who took a penalty and has supported our Club by doing so and thank you to the organizers of Scotton Feast for inviting Scotton Scorchers to take part in what was an extremely enjoyable afternoon had by all.
For further information about supporting our ‘’New Pitch Project’’ please contact Keith Large on email address keith@hatransport.com
Any donation Large or small will help us ‘’MAKE THIS HAPPEN’’ for our children and our children’s children.
