TOUR DE CANAL £2300.00 RAISED FOR SCOTTON SCORCHERS

Congratulations to everyone who took part in our Leeds to Liverpool Cycling Challenge. We completed our epic challenge way back in July earlier this year. We visited 8 football grounds and pedalled approx.150 miles. Our Scotton Scorchers Club scarf travelled with us every mile and visited every ground and now it proudly hangs off the Anfield gates for evermore.

It wasn't easy and on the way to Anfield we encountered lots of different interesting circumstances. Close encounters of the canal kind, blown out tyres, bee stings, sore legs, hard rocks, spongy energy sapping grass, tree stumps, very low bridges, bone rattling cobbles and annoying little yapping dogs but to name a few.

All these hurdles were outweighed by our team camaraderie and the exhilaration and laughs that we had along the way.

At Anfield where we were given a guided tour and a pitch side photo shoot to commemorate our epic journey.

Estimates show that we will raise approx £2300.00 for our Football Club which is an absolutely brilliant team effort.

So massive thanks goes out to all those who pledged their support and sponsorship money to the clubs cause and a massive thanks to the all the riders and helpers who made it happen.
