Please take a read of this little extract I found whilst researching 'how we would like parents of this club to conduct themselves'
May I also add to the extract please take time to read our charters which sets out the clubs expected standard of conduct from players/parents/coaches alike.
It’s great that sports parents come and watch, whether they be soccer parents, athletics parents or any of the other sports. With that in mind here are some valuable, solid tips . . . .
- Take an active interest in your child’s football career
- Be enthusiastic
- Do not give tactical advice; the players have a hard enough time dealing with the ball, teammates and opponents
- Leave the coaching to the coach
- Let your child be a child
- Winning, loosing — are all just as much part of the game
- A talented player will not go unnoticed
- If you want to be a parent coach, follow a coaching course
