Well what a season for the Nidd U18s girls. They completed a double of the cup and wrapped up the league in a play off game against Harrogate Railway.
Their success should not to be measured in their trophies though, the true success story is that this side was made up from 3 or 4 different teams, Ripon City,Knaresborough Celtic and not forgetting our very own Scotton Scorchers.
So when these ladies started out on their own football journey's some of these girls were actually opposing players but as their team mates fell by the wayside instead of all these girls walking away from football they all merged together to form Nidd United under the guidance of Richard and Caroline.
What a great decision that proved to be, just take a look at the smiles in the photo!!
Lets take this moment to congratuate all the teams that played in the U18s League this season and contributed to a very close and competitive competition, WELL DONE LADIES.
The cup final versus Horsforth Saint Margarets was one of the best finals I have had the pleasure to watch. The skill levels from both sides was amazing but it was the spirit that truly made it a special game.
The spectators, the players, the coaches all payed each other mutual respect and supported their respective allegiances with great enthusiasm.
Again both clubs should be extremely proud of how they represented their clubs and also the female game.
What a truly successful season, well done all.
