Girls - U12 Scotton 0 Knaresborough Celtic 0

This local friendly derby was played in very difficult swirling wind but was still an exciting game even though neither team could snatch the winning goal. Celtic had a number of real chances but good defending from Scorchers and some fine saves including a scrambled save on the line from Philipa when under pressure kept the Scorchers girls in the game. Whilst at the other end Scorchers also had a number of chances including a fine corner from Olivia which the keeper tipped on to the bar. Shannon also had a good chance putting her shot just wide. Scorchers used the friendly to give all the squad players a run out (all 13!)which meant some frenzied substitutions to ensure everyone was involved. A close game with good refereeing. Player of the day was Philippa keeping the teams first clean sheet of the season.
